‘O Pate d’e Ccriature

The number 29 in the Neapolitan grimace is picturesquely represented by the penis -‘o pate d’e ccriature (the father of children) – the male genital organ which obviously allows children to be brought into the world.

If a man dreams of a penis, this could mean that he is taking stock of his male potential, potential that would find full realization only when it manages to allow the natural continuation of the species through the procreation of children.

If the dreamer of the male member is a woman, its meaning can be traced back to the sexual instinct or, more simply, to the desire to be able to spiritually unite with another person.

If the woman dreams of having a penis, the dream represents aggression, being domineering: characteristics that are better suited to a male figure.

The penis pictured here is, guess what, John Lennon’s penis. The same portrayed on the cover of “Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins”, the first of three experimental albums released by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
