Notes
“Cinque frammenti” is Gianvito Novielli’s first solo work, the beginning of an endless series
of fragmented music cycles. Against any attempt of systematic structure, these small pieces
are suspended memories, deliberately open and unresolved. Rarefied and ruined melodies,
lost in the ceaseless noise of daily life in which we are trapped. They are rare moments of
concentration stolen from time. Gaps leading to another’s life. Inspired by Heraclitus and
Levinas.
