Autopilot are a Belgian indie rock band from Ghent, featuring Bertrand Lafontaine, Stijn Anseel and Tomas De Soete. Active since the early ’90s, they have spent decades carving out their own corner of the indie underground.
“Engine Trouble”, here captured live at Birg in Sint-Amandsberg, is taken from “Driver”.
Released by Almost Halloween Time Records, the album brings together 16 songs recorded between 1996 and 2016 in Ghent and Brussels. A collection spanning years of recordings, moving between lo-fi charm, alternative folk and guitar-driven indie rock.
A special thanks to Stijn Essnor for recording this video and capturing the song. For this occasion, the band also includes Hans Gruyaert, who, together with the three Autopilot, is now a member of Best Parts.
