At Bar Capitolo there was a video jukebox and I had recently fallen in love with The Cure. At the beginning of the 90’s the bar was not as popular as it is today. “Hanno Ucciso L’Uomo Ragno” by 883 was in heavy rotation. It was selected continuously, interrupted only by other horrible songs and “Friday I’m in Love”.
I was the one who selected it.
If I had had more choices, I would have chosen “All Cats Are Grey”, “Other Voices”, “The Drowning Man” or “The Same Deep Water As You”.
How would the other customers in the bar react?
Is there anything wrong with wanting to listen to The Cure after a happy day spent at the seaside?
“The Same Cured Hair As You” is a tribute to Robert Smith and The Cur, listen to it here .
